Mayor proposes 30 percent salary hide for Fridel

Another reason the get rid of the position of City Administrator.  The City survived well for 150 years without one.

Do taxpayers matter any more?

Unified employee rules disputed

Are the unions trying to repeal Act 10 through a Rules Book?

Prevailing wage future uncertain

Its future needs to be ascertained.  It should be its demise.

Price fixing doesn't work.  The Free Market should prevail.

Bray Center funding cut

I think Jameel Ghuari is smart enough and resourceful enough to make that community center hum (even better!) without that State money.

Unified to focus on career 'pathways'

It's good to see some RUSD students getting valuable training...education that can immediately put to use.

CVS proposal moves forward

Do I detect a shift in the council towards business interests?

This would be very good if true.  This meeting is this council's last.  Hopefully the next council will continue this apparent trend.

Chicken proposal returns

It's about time.  Let's get this proposal through in any form.  We can worry about letting tenants have chickens later.  Letting people sell eggs likewise can be a later consideration.  I think once chickens become more commonplace it will be found they are a much less of a problem than dogs.  Probably more like keeping a cat.

Panel: Ditch roundabout

Good decision.

Generally people know better how to spend their money than does the government.  After all, it's their money the government is spending.  "Doing what is good for them" despite what they "think they want" is a losing policy for the people and the government; the road to Hell for any society.

Put the roundabout in the Silly category.

Candidate tax payments an issue

At least a couple of Mount Pleasant village officials are having trouble with their property tax payments.  It is interesting that neither of them seems to do much about reducing the Mt. Pleasant tax burden.  High taxes continue to be a problem there.
